America Online 4.0 requires proxy settings in order to connect to the net. In Communicator, follow these steps...

1. Go to the Edit menu--Preferences
2. In the left-hand column, double-click on Advanced
3. Click on Proxies
4. Select Manual Proxy Configuration
5. Click on the View button
6. To the right of HTTP: fill in ie3.proxy.aol.com
7. For the port number, fill in 80

Launch AOL, sign in, and launch Netscape to test it out. If you are still having problems, subsitute 198.41.0.5 for ie3.proxy.aol.com.
